  3. Glide / 3DFX Install Instructions (from floppy driver 'a:') :
  4. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

  6. Under Windows '95 :
  7.  
  8.   Copy the file 'glide.dll' into the realimation\bin directory 
  9.   (where 'rmation.exe', 'rmation4.dll', 'rgd3dfx4.dll', etc ... reside)
  10.  
  11.   Copy the files 'sst1init.dll' and 'fxmemmap.vxd' from the Win95 directory
  12.   to your Windows95\system directory ( eg c:\windows\system or c:\win95\system ).

  14.   You will need to reboot your machine.

  17. Under Windows 'NT (3.51 and above) :
  18.  
  19.   Copy the file 'glide.dll' into the realimation\bin directory 
  20.   (where 'rmation.exe', 'rmation4.dll', 'rgd3dfx4.dll', etc ... reside)

  22.   Copy the file 'sst1init.dll' from the WinNT directory to your WindowsNT\system32
  23.   directory  (eg 'c:\windows\system32' or 'c:\winnt351\system32')
  24.  
  25.   Copy the files 'genport.sys' and 'mapmem.sys' from the WinNT directory
  26.   to your WindowsNT\system32\drivers directory
  27.   (eg 'c:\windows\system32\drivers'  or  'c:\winnt351\system32\drivers)
  28.  
  29.   Install the glide drivers by opening a command promp window and changing
  30.   into the 'winnt' directory and type the following
  31.  
  32.         regini mapmem.ini  (and press return)
  33.   then
  34.         regini genport.ini  (and press return)
  35.  
  36.  
  37.   You will then need to re-boot your machine.
