THE SPECTRUM GAMES DATABASE
PANIC
PUBLISHER
Never published (but it was in the big game list)
AUTHOR
Ian Collier
CONTROLS
Defineable. Also auto-detects kempston joystick for the
movement, but if you have an emulator that uses keys for the
joystick make sure that the game keys are different from the
joystick keys.
DESCRIPTION
Similar to various other games called "Panic". A platform game.
INSTRUCTIONS
Your man can dig holes or fill them in. The object is to make
the aliens fall into holes and then fill the holes in before the
aliens climb out again. The red ones are easy to kill, but the
brighter colours need to fall further. The most dangerous are
the white ones; you need to trap these on the top level then dig
holes in the three levels directly underneath it before filling
the top one in. If you like you can jump through the holes as
a quick alternative to going down a ladder.
CHEATS
If an alien falls into a hole and you are short of time, press
the "dig" key. Another alien can then fall in or you can jump
down without being killed. Note that you still have to fill it
in eventually though. If there are two aliens in a hole then you
have to fill, dig and fill again.
