  3. Now that you have read everything you will know that there are
  4. varying standards for modems,and  you also know that there are
  5. still some problems now and again. This is also possible when a
  6. new modem enters the market. A small change in the timing 
  7. commands and ....
  8.  
  9. Some more advice for these cases which you should follow!
  10.  
  11. AUTO-folder PRGs and ACCs
  12.  
  13. The ATARI is the computer which offers the best freeware- and
  14. shareware programmes. These little helpers are carefully
  15. programmed,  according to their own instructions, but there are
  16. also quite a number of "error intensive" extensions around.
  17.  
  18. Switch off all  extensions and reboot and test CoMa again.
  19. You can not deactivate HSModem! This programme and the
  20. nessessary drivers have to be booted.

  22.     Modem protocol
  23.  
  24. Every time you encounter problems, despite following all our
  25. advice in this handbook, activate the function "modem protocol" in
  26. the dialogue-box "parameter General".
  27.  
  28. This function writes the complete communication between CoMa and
  29. the modem into the file modem protocol and saves it in the system
  30. folder of CoMa. It is much easier for us to work from this
  31. protocol and solve your problem for you. As you are having
  32. problems with your modem send us a print out of the file.

  34. Please remember to de-activate "modem protocol" after this has
  35. been done, otherwise it will continue to make a report after every
  36. activity and save it.

  38.     Problems in voice operation

  40. All manufacturers seem to do there own thing for voice modems and
  41. we have highlighted incompatibilities in chapter 3.5.
