  17.  Purpose:  SWITCH--Control text/graphics method of printing

  32.  Purpose:  SWITCH--Control automatic page ejection after print 
  33.  Information:
  34.      When switch is ON, the page is ejected after each print of 
  35.      the weaving or design.

  37.      Print/Setup/Immediate sends a form feed on demand.

  43.  Command:  Print/Modes/7-Color Printing           < PM7 > 
  44.  Purpose:  SWITCH--Control 7-color method of printing 
  45.  Information:
  46.      When this switch is ON, color prints are created by sending 
  47.      built-in color codes to the printer.  The printer is 
  48.      responsible for mixing green, orange, and purple, while 
  49.      yellow, magenta, cyan, and black are created from single 
  50.      ribbon strikes. 
  51.  
  52.      White is not available in text mode, although 7-color 
  53.      graphics allow it.  
  54.  
  55.      In 7-color mode, several similar screen colors print as the 
  56.      same color since there are less than half as many available.
  57.  Comments: 
  58.      7-color printing can be faster than mixed color printing, 
  59.      but does not provide as a good relation between screen and 
  60.      printed output.  Not recommended for IBM/Toshiba printers.

  67.  Purpose:  SWITCH--Control mixed color printing mode 
  68.  Information:
  69.      This is the preferred method of color printing.
  70.  
  71.      With switch ON, Patternland mixes each color itself by 
  72.      striking the ribbon bands yellow, magenta, cyan, and black 
  73.      the number of times you specify in the Color Palette Mixer. 
  74.  
  75.      White is "mixed" by not striking ANY ribbon band.
  76.  
  77.      The default palette is designed to match standard video 
  78.      colors.
  79.  Comments: 
  80.      The intensity of the color palette determines the throughput 
  81.      speed of printing.  In the worst case, if at least one of 
  82.      the 16 colors required four strikes of each of the four 
  83.      ribbon bands, each print row could take up to 16 passes of 
  84.      the printhead.  Patternland checks ahead to see the maximum 
  85.      number of passes for each color used and avoids unnecessary 
  86.      passes as possible.

  88.      Mixed color printing produces the best relation between 
  89.      screen and printed output on a dot matrix printer.

  91.      Mixed color printing as above is available for text mode 
  92.      only on the HP PaintJet.  Use PaintJet Color Graph mode for 
  93.      graphics.

  101.  Purpose:  SWITCH--Control use of PaintJet palette mode
  102.  Information:
  103.      This is the only method of color graphics printing on the 
  104.      HP PaintJet.
  105.  
  106.      With switch ON, the Patternland Color Palette Mixer shifts 
  107.      to PaintJet palette mode and displays color mixes as RGB 
  108.      NTSC video values instead of the ink cartrage colors 
  109.      yellow, magenta, cyan, and black.  The PaintJet converts 
  110.      these RGB values by printing dots of different colors side 
  111.      by side.

  113.      Using the Color Palette Mixer's Convert Video option you can 
  114.      transfer the current video palette to the editor for 
  115.      modifications and fine tuning using the PaintJet manual. 
  116.      
  117.      Using the AutoPaintJet option, the video palette is 
  118.      converted automatically at printing time. 
  119.  Comments: 
  120.      The Rainbow Print option is NOT supported for the PaintJet 
  121.      Color Graphics palette; it shows the text mode Color Mix 
  122.      Palette only.  For the Graphics palette sample, use the 
  123.      PaintJet's own internal palette sample printout.

  129.  Command:  Print/Modes/Black & White Passes       < PMB > 
  130.  Purpose:  SETTING--Control number of ribbon strikes for B&W 
  131.  Information:
  132.      You can strike the printout up to four times for each 
  133.      graphics row. This can produce especially black printouts. 
  134.  Comments: 
  135.      Setting this value to two is equivalent to setting the 
  136.      printer for double strike printing in text mode.
  137.  
  138.      Setting the printer for double strike or a bold font has no 
  139.      affect on graphics.
