Command: Print/Graphics Options/Print Mode < PGP >
Purpose: Select graphics print mode
Information:
The graphics print mode determines the resolution at which
your printer creates the printout. Some printer modes have
different horizontal and vertical resolutions. Many
printers also contain a mode with a 1:1 ratio. A 1:1 ratio
is preferable for creating square blocks.
By adjusting horizontal and vertical aspect magnification to
different values, you can create fairly square blocks in
various print modes.
Comments:
See the help menu for driver-specific information on your
printer and the one-line info for each print mode.
Usually, a higher resolution printout takes longer than a
low resolution printout.

Command: Print/Graphics Options/Mag. Zoom Level < PGM >
Purpose: Setting--Magnification zoom for graphics printing
Information:
A Zoom more than zero "activates" the Horizontal and Vertical
magnification factors also set from this menu.
Each thread is printed as the number of printed dots
equal to the Zoom level X the magnification factors.
Comments:
If Thread Variable Magnification is also ON, the thread size
is further magnified by the Symbol number.
Printed horizontal and vertical magnification factors are
different from the Display horizontal and vertical factors.
This allows you to adjust both graphics displays and
printouts to the optimum magnification for your system.
The Print/Graphics/Mag. Zoom Level is different from the
Display/Graphics/Mag. Zoom Level, however Thread Variable
Magnification affects both displays and printouts.
See Also: Print/Graphics Options/Thread Variable Mag.

Command: Print/Graphics Options/Horizontal Mag < PGH >
Purpose: Setting--Horizontal, warp, magnification factor
Information:
Each warp thread or design column is printed as wide as the
number of printer dots equal to the Zoom X magnification.
Comments:
If Thread Variable Magnification is also ON, the thread size
is further magnified by the Symbol number.
See Also: Print/Graphics Options/Thread Variable Mag.
_______________________________________________________________
Command: Print/Graphics Options/Vertical Mag < PGV >
Purpose: Setting--Vertical, weft, magnification factor
Information:
Each weft thread or design row is as high as the number of
printer dots equal to the Zoom X magnification.
Comments:
If Thread Variable Magnification is also ON, the thread size
is further magnified by the Symbol number.
See Also: Print/Graphics Options/Thread Variable Mag.
_______________________________________________________________
Command: Print/Graphics/Thread Variable Mag < PGT >
Purpose: Switch--Control variable magnification feature
Information:
When this switch is ON, graphics modes printouts and
displays multiply the size of the thread times the symbol
number for each thread.
Comments:
With Mag. Zoom Level = 1 and Thread Variable Mag ON, a symbol
number 5 warp thread will be 5 printed dots wide.
With Mag. Zoom=1, a horizontal factor of 2, and Thread
Variable Mag ON, a symbol number 5 warp thread will be 10
printed dots wide.

Command: Print/Graphics/Fast Pattern Only < PGF >
Purpose: Switch--Ignore all data On and graphpaper On
Information:
When this switch is ON, graphics modes prints show only
the pattern--regardless of what data is selected.
Comments:
This is the same as turning all data and graphpaper
switches off.
See Also: Display/Graphics Options/Fast Pattern Only
_______________________________________________________________
Command: Print/Text Options/Warp Multi-Symbol < PTA >
Purpose: Switch--Control use of multiple warp symbols
Information:
When this switch is ON, Text mode printouts show warp
threads as the character in the warp symbol set referenced
by each warp thread's Symbol number.
When OFF, the Single Printer Warp Symbol is used to print
the pattern in Text mode.
Comments:
Warp Multi-Symbol does not affect the Thread Variable Mag
switch, which triggers the use of the Symbol number as the
graphics thread size.
See Also: Print/Text Options/Weft Multi-Symbol
_______________________________________________________________
Command: Print/Text Options/Weft Multi-Symbol < PTE >
Purpose: Switch--Control use of multiple weft symbols
Information:
When this switch is ON, Text mode printouts show weft row
threads as the character in the weft symbol set referenced
by each weft thread's Symbol number.
When OFF, the Single Printer Weft Symbol is used to display
the pattern in Text mode.
Comments:
Weft Multi-Symbol does not affect the Thread Variable Mag
switch, which triggers the use of the Symbol number as the
graphics thread size.
See Also: Display/Text Options/Warp Multi-Symbol

Command: Print/Text Options/Draw-Down < PTD >
Purpose: Switch--Control draw-up or draw-down format
Information:
When this switch is OFF, Text mode printouts and displays
are Draw-Ups, showing the LAST weft row at the TOP. This is
the truest simulation of an actual weaving.
When Draw-Down is ON, the FIRST thread is shown at the TOP.
Comments:
Graphics modes do not offer Draw-down capability; they are
always "draw-ups."

Command: Print/Text Options/Graphpaper Background < PTG >
Purpose: Switch--Control inclusion of graphpaper in print
Information:
With switch ON, the character printout is superimposed on a
graphics mode grid resembling graphpaper.
Vertical line spacing must be set to 10 lines per inch.
Horizontal spacing must remain 10 characters per inch.
Comments:
The color of the graphpaper is base on the color of the grid
in the editors.
In Version 4.1, this switch also turns on the new graphics
mode graphpaper controlled primarily through the new
Options/Graphpaper menu.

Command: Print/Text Options/Width of Text Print < PTW >
Purpose: Setting--Determine width of allowable printing
Information:
Patternland trims the weaving when the requested text mode
printout plus current ON-data is wider than the Print Width.
If you use a condensed pitch to enable printing more warp,
you must reset the Width here to access the additional
threads. Likewise with a wide printer, increase the width.
Conversely, if you set a 10 column margin on a narrow
carriage printer, you should reduce the Width setting by 10
columns so printouts are trimmed before they wrap around and
become distorted.
Comments:
Width of Text print has no affect on graphics printing.
