The man who authored the first herbal "bible"
was Nicholas Culpepper who published THE
COMPLETE HERBAL in England in 1649. All
references to herbs prior to that date were in Latin
and in that way, old Nick felt they were denied
to the masses of people who needed them.

considered were the real medicinal
attributes of garlic:
It promotes urine and women's
courses (menstral flow), helps the
biting of mad dogs, and other
venemous creatures; kills the worms
