  5. was   Nicholas   Culpepper   who   published   THE
  6. COMPLETE  HERBAL   in   England  in  1649.    All
  7. references  to herbs prior to that date were in Latin
  8. and  in  that  way, old Nick  felt they were denied
  9. to the masses of people who needed them.

  13. considered were the real  medicinal 
  14. attributes  of garlic: 
  15.   It promotes  urine   and  women's
  16. courses (menstral flow),  helps the
  17. biting  of  mad  dogs,   and  other
  18. venemous creatures; kills the worms

  22. phlegm,  purges  the head,  helps the
  23. lethargy,  is  a   good  preservative
  24. against, and a remedy for, any plaque,
  25. sore or  foul  ulcer.  It  takes away
  26. spots and  blemishes in the  skin. It
  27. also eases pains in the ears.
