Jolly jolly jolly. What a wheeze this was. This conversion of the arcade game was strangely crude, but it was harshly dealt with, since it was playable, and the music was charismatic (that version of Magnetic Fields was very strange though). A game with character, and I must admit to liking Mark Cooksey's work a great deal. My weakness for cute music is undeniable...!

This version has been slightly tweaked since the last MIDI (most of them have) to clean it up a bit. My initial MIDI when I started all this was way too different from the original speed.

Another arcade conversion that Elite decided to have a go at, and unlike some of their efforts (Space Harrier, anyone?) this tried its hardest to retain the cute but rife with panic feel of the original. The Mark Cooksey title theme whilst having his suitably whiney main voice, had a pretty low and de-dum bass line, together with a background high pitched almost whistle noice which when put together seemed to generate what Elite were after. Shame Mark got to ruin Jean Michel Jarre's 'Magnetic Fields 2' as the in game theme though...
