Recorder Settings

Menu Path: Options/Recorder/Settings

There are many advanced recording features available.  The following is an outline with links to descriptions.

Before you begin recording, you should check the settings and test-record a single track using different recorder options to find out what best suites your taste and situation.

Some tips for recording

  • Use the CBR recording setting to make the highest quality (largest file size) recording possible. You'll have the choice of recording from 8 kbps, to 320 kbps.

  • Adjust the Make Song Clips setting to record sound-clips for the web. When working in combination with a low CBR  setting, you'll be able to make the perfect sound clip from any digital recording, and make it the perfect size for fast downloading.

  • For fast organization of your recorded music, set-up the Songs Directory and Name Song File Using settings to have the Recorder name and place recorded tracks into named folders, according to artist or album name.

  • Error Correction uses advanced algorithms to filter out noise and re-construct lost parity strings. If you have a CD with minor scratches, Error Correction may be able to produce better recording results. Error Correction will increase recording time.
