About the Games
Pokemon, or Pocket Monsters, is a greatly successful Game Boy game thar has been the talk of the city, or world even, as any corner you turn in Japan, a Pikachu stares at you with them adorable eyes. Now why is this game so wonderful? Well, let's see. You get to train monsters, fight with monsters, fight your friends' monsters, fight other computer trainers' monsters, explore for new monsters, or even just walk around talking to people about...monsters. As you can see, the game has great innovation, and that's why so many people enjoy it. The first two PokΘmon game releases were PokΘMon Red and PokΘMon Green. It is very peculiar that two games of the same name should be released at the same time, but it was probably needed, as this what many people may spend the hours of what-could've-been Tetris-playing time, playing this. Due to the great success of the first two games, Nintendo decided to release a THIRD PokΘMon Game, PokΘMon Blue. Now, first of all, one may wonder why different versions? Well, each version has different quantities of certain PokΘMon. Take Meowth, a feline PokΘMon for example: he's rare in Blue, but nonexistant in red. Anyhow, Blue version in Japan was a limited edition, therefore it was quite hard to find what's special about this version is that it had graphic enhancements over the original Red and Green versions. Well, pretty soon the game became so successful that it became an entire INDUSTRY in Japan. The game has it's own TV show, which is the highest rated show in Japan, as well as trading cards, plush dulls, bedspreads, eating utensils, and MORE! In fact, it became so successful that an entire two PokΘMon stores opened in Japan! Now, the game has hit the shores of the US! Either by land, by see, by air, or any other means of transportation. THEY'VE COME!
