OpenOffice

OpenOffice is a suite of office programs (word processor, presentation writer, spreadsheet, database, drawing program and other functions) developed as a free alternative to commercial office software.

It can import files from Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access etc.) and save files in those formats as well as creating PDF files.

To install OpenOffice:

1. Click this link: Install OpenOffice from this CD.
2. When asked ‘Do you want to open or save this file?’, click ‘Save’ and choose a suitable location. The OpenOffice installation files will be downloaded to your chosen location in a single ZIP file.
3. Find the ZIP file and open it. Use the ‘extract’ or ‘expand’ function of your ZIP file extraction software to expand all the files contained within the ZIP file. If you don't have a ZIP file extractor, you can install ZipGenius or Aladdin from the Tools and utilities section of this CD.
4. The files will be expanded in a new folder. Open this folder and find the file setup.exe.
5. Open the setup.exe file, then read and follow any further on-screen instructions.
