Subscribing to ResNet

To use the ResNet service you need to do three things:

1. Read the ResNet terms and conditions – when you subscribe you agree to abide by these rules, and it’s important to understand what you’re agreeing to!
2. Set up your computer and connect it to ResNet, as described in the Quick Start Guide.
3. Subscribe and pay for the service using the online system on the ResNet web pages.

Once you have subscribed to ResNet you have two weeks to pay the subscription fee. If you don’t pay in this time, your outlet will be disconnected and you will have to visit IT Reception to arrange reconnection.

The ResNet fee for 2006-07 is £15 per term, plus a one-off administration fee of £20 – so one term costs £35, two terms cost £50 and three terms cost £65. If you stay in University accommodation during the 2007 Summer Vacation you can re-subscribe to ResNet for the vacation only at a cost of £10.
