Editorial Original Publishing Date (y/m/d): 1998-12-01 1997 - August - September - October - November - December - 1998 - January - February - Mars - April - May - June - July - August - September - October - November Hello and a merry X-mas! To start off, 21st Century's website is back online again (phew)! Internic apparently got the weird idea to point to an old host of 21st that no longer exists and it was this that took a while to sort out. I also got an smaller update on their new releases from Peter Mason at 21st: "As with all products the development is taking longer than expected, but is also showing great promise. In reality it is not a conversion from SlamTilt, it uses roughly the same table layouts but is otherwise all new. We expect to release the first two table product in the first quarter of 1999 followed by the other two tables some time later in the year." Also, some screenshots of ST3D might turn up before the end of the year or somewhere at the shift. And this reminds me that it soon will be time for the second Worlds Best Pinball (simulation) vote, this time titled WBP99! I'm planning on allowing votes for the first, second and third favorite pinball. I'm not sure which path of voting is most interesting, my current plan (though I'm not totally sure) is to as the first time allow votes for all pinballs ever released and thus now including the ones released this year. I suppose I could just hold a vote for pinballs released this year. Give me some suggestions! This is just a vote for the fun of having one and seeing what pinballs are popular (might help other pinball enthusiasts make a choice). Saw a post on rgp about a pinball for those neat Palm Pilots. Check out standalone.com for a shareware (30day trial) version of it. If you are a fan of Addiction Pinball you might be disappointed to hear that it at the time is very unlikely there will be an Addiction II or separate release of the Alien Breed table... Stefan Boberg (the creator of addiction) didn't sound all to enthusiastic when I asked whetever there would be an A2. Though on the positive, I suppose, side the PSX version of the pinball is very nearly finished and should be released soon. It was also announced this month that there will be a separate release of the sixth BOS table which was excluded from the original package, the table's name is Devil's Island and will feature some kind of voodoo theme (see the news page for more details). As for BRUSA, both a demo and a public patch has been released for it. Go to the files page for the demo and pay a visit to the official brusa homepage for the patch.
Conserning the questions I asked in the last editorial relating to favorite brusa quotes I got totally 1 submission! Well, unless the rest of you who read this editorial stuff I write every month live in the US where it hasn't been release I can just say "you drive like a box of choclates". :) (err, whatever) Well, this is the last editorial for the year, so I'll leave you with these comforting and encouraging words of the Darth Vader wannabe police car... "You're powers are weak old taxi"
